It is a season of decorating. Of course the focus of any room at Christmas is the tree.

But after the tree is decorated, what about the rest of the room? This holiday let me show you how using of your favorite tree theme to decorate your whole room can be easy, fun and affordable.

When I look at any room my first thought is what a key impact area is. Select the key spots to decorate your room, identify the key areas, from large to small – it can be windows, tables, seating, and banister. Then decorate largest Key Impact Areas with Backdrop displays.

Put the wreaths on the windows and the pine garlands on the ledge below the window. The banister can be decorated with pine garlands with themed ribbons, adding the Christmas stockings all over the rails. It’s a great idea if you don’t have a fire place around your room.

Don’t forget about the coffee table – use candle holders, pre-decorated with themed ornaments.

Use wired ribbon for touch of holiday style throughout your home. Wrap around door knobs, tie around the back of chairs or look through stair rails, or create an easy festive look by wrapping the ribbon around the pillow to resemble a package and tie the ends together in a big bow.

I like to extend the holiday season when entertaining by using my favorite ornaments in the table setting. Use ornaments as holders, or wrap around napkins with ribbon, or as table decor.

And the door – don’t leave it the way it is on holidays. You can also decorate the front door, and quickly and inexpensively as well. Use artificial garlands – it’s easy to manipulate. Use greenery, lights, ribbons (which you can have of several colors and of different width and combine).
